Saturday Agenda

DJ by the Pool from 1 PM – 4 PM

WingFest from 5 PM – 9 PM at Main Entrance (FYI – Entrance will be closed from 4:30 PM-9 PM)

Rules for Event

1. COOK-OFF CATEGORY
Wings – Cooked Any Way

2. INGREDIENTS & PREPARATION
There is no limit to the number of members on each team. In order to ensure the wings are all the same, the Camp Riverslanding (CRL) will provide the wings for the event. A representative from CRL will deliver the wings to each team around 10 AM. There will be no charge to the teams for the wings. Each team will be required to prepare 100 wings for the competition. Everything must be cooked on-site. Contestants may use previously-prepared or commercial sauce. Chicken wings must be cooked from the raw state. Any seasoning or ingredient necessary to create unique taste is acceptable. Every chicken wing must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.  Due to possible peanut allergies, frying in Peanut Oil is not permitted.

3. COOKING
Each team is expected to maintain clean and sanitary conditions and to keep wings chilled and fresh before cooking and hot after cooking. Wings may be prepared with wood, charcoal, propane, or electric. Roaster ovens, slow cookers, and large current appliances are permitted for holding wings after cooking. Metal pans will be provided for the finished product.

4. JUDGING
Wings must be ready for judging at 5:00 PM. The winner will be selected by a panel of 4 judges. Judging will be based on taste (all wings must be fully cooked.) Each team will submit 4 wings for judging in a marked container, which will be provided by CRL.

5. SERVE
Contestants must bring the remainder of the finished wings in a metal container to the tents at the front entrance for serving by 5:00 PM.
